Albany Special Session Town Hall

Our communities are under attack, the Federal Budget Scam will devastate New York. It hands massive tax breaks to billionaires while cutting healthcare for 1.5 million New Yorkers, putting our hospitals at risk, raising costs for working families, and increasing funding for ICE to target immigrant communities. We can stop this. But Governor Hochul and our state lawmakers must act — and that starts with us coming together. Join Citizen Action for a community town hall to hear from neighbors, advocates, and people directly impacted by these cuts. Learn how you can help fight back and make sure the ultra-rich pay their fair share to keep New York safe, healthy, and affordable for everyone.

Sun Day Festival - Capital Region

Join Third Act Upstate New York and its affiliated partners for a celebration of all things renewable energy!

Inspired by the transformative impact of the original Earth Day in 1970, Sun Day is a national day-of-action to harness the power of people, culture, and advocacy to celebrate and accelerate the rapid build-out of renewable energy. Sun Day will specifically spotlight how solar and wind are the most affordable, most reliable, and most expeditious sources of energy.

Sun Day events in Upstate New York will bring together activists, businesses, workers, homeowners, renters, farmers, students, and policymakers to demonstrate widespread support for the ongoing transition to renewable energy.

Through arts and music, storytelling, teach-ins, and fun activities for all ages, Sun Day events will showcase New York’s affordable, reliable clean energy future as we leave behind the planet-crushing toxicity of fossil fuels.

Not to be missed is the radiant Sun Day Wool tapestry that will be on display.

The Albany event will feature an exposition hall with advocates and vendors, panel discussions, teach-ins, climate films, and climate-songfest.

Rush Hour Overpass Resistance

What is the RushHour Overpass Resistance?

We know people need “social proof” to inform them on how best to respond to the Country's crisis. Our goal is to remind our neighbors of our nation’s emergency and to suggest simple actions they can take and encourage support of a pro-democratic Nation. We literally stand over our banner messages and signs, waving at passing cars, reminding everyday people that they are not alone in these unprecedented times. Please join the "Bridge Party"!
