RushHour Overpass Resistance "Bridge Party"

What is the RushHour Overpass Resistance?

We know people need “social proof” to inform them how best to respond to the country's crisis. Our goal is to remind neighbors of our nation’s emergency and to suggest simple actions they can take and encourage support of a pro-democratic Nation. We literally stand over our banner messages and signs, waving at passing cars, reminding everyday people that they are not alone in these unprecedented times. Please join the "Bridge Party"!

Citizens Bank: Stop Funding ICE Prisons!

  • 756 Upper Glen St Glens Falls North, NY, 12804 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Citizens Bank publicly presents itself as a community-centered institution committed to social responsibility, yet the bank continues to maintain key financial relationships with CoreCivic and The GEO Group: two notorious, for-profit, prison corporations that support ICE.

In response, a coalition of progressive organizations across the Northeast will hold peaceful, coordinated standouts near regional Citizens Bank branches. This event, sponsored by Indivisible ADK/Saratoga, will be a Honk-n-Wave.

RALLY FOR THE UNREPRESENTED

Join CARE4IF’s first Mobilization Day of 2026 on February 3rd in Albany.

Stand with immigrant communities and demand that New York pass the urgent Access to Representation Act and the BUILD Act, and invest $175 million in immigration legal services. As federal attacks escalate, NY must defend representation, save families, and their livelihoods. The times are urgent and the clock is ticking. As the Federal government invests more in the attacks on our community, NYS must lead and invest in defending our communities.

We need the Access to Representation Act—and the BUILD Act—now more than ever.
Let’s bring our full collective power and make it clear: we will not stop until ARA and the BUILD Act are PASSED.

General Member Meeting

Join us for Indivisible Albany’s Monthly Membership Meeting

For our first Member Meeting of 2026, we’ll be presenting Indivisible Albany’s Forum on the Police State: What the Flock? This will be a discussion about the widespread proliferation of Flock camera systems, including throughout the Capital District, as we launch our public education campaign about how Flocks work, where they are, how the data is retained and, more importantly, how this data is being funneled to federal agencies such as ICE to target and track immigrant communities. We will also discuss actions that you can take to fight back against the installation of Flock cameras and to demand accountability for those already in use. We think this will be an extremely informative session and we hope you can join us.

Statewide Organizing Meeting: County Law Enforcement Civilian Complaint Review Boards

The Freedom Unshackled Coalition is convening a statewide Zoom organizing meeting on to mobilize support for Senate Bill S8856, legislation introduced by Senator Julia Salazar — Assemblymember Gabriela Romero is carrying the Assembly version — to establish County Law Enforcement Civilian Complaint Review Boards across New York State. For far too long, violence in correctional settings has been framed almost exclusively around state prisons and Rikers Island, while county correctional facilities across New York have operated with little to no oversight, despite widespread reports of brutal beatings, denial of legal visits, unsafe conditions and medical neglect inflicted on incarcerated people by correctional officers.

This meeting will review the purpose and urgency of the legislation, its current status in the Senate Local Government Committee and the need for coordinated statewide action to bring transparency and accountability to county jails. Organizations are urged to attend and to share this invitation broadly with partners and networks committed to justice and human rights.

Three Kings Day: A Vigil of Hope and Solidarity for Immigrant Neighbors

On the eve of the start of the 2026 New York State Legislative Session, we will gather at the New York State Capitol or a solidarity vigil to affirm immigrant dignity and rights, and to keep the spotlight on the horrors visited upon our neighbors by ICE. We gather on January 6th to reclaim this date—globally recognized as Three Kings Day—from the infamous association of Trump's Insurrection against the United States. We will affirm our commitment to the U.S. Constitution, the rule of law, and Due Process for all, directly confronting the fear and terror felt by marginalized communities.

New York for All: March for the Disappeared

Join us for the first NY4All mobilization of the 2026 legislative session on January 12, 2026: New York for All - March for the Disappeared.

We are all witnessing the rampant increase in collusion between local and state agencies with ICE, as well as an explosion of 287(g) agreements across the state. With zero bills passed by the Legislature last session to protect immigrant New Yorkers, we must show up at the start of the session in force to demand our leadership pass New York for All and end our state's complicity in ICE's cruel deportation agenda!

We are marching for every family that now has an empty space at the dinner table. For every New Yorker ripped from their family. For every family afraid that a traffic stop on their way to their kids' school, work, or hospital could lead to permanent separation from their loved ones. We are marching to demand that our leaders pass the New York for All Act to ensure our state resources are never used to DISAPPEAR our neighbors!

There will also be a community altar where those attending can bring photos, names, etc of those who have been disappeared by ICE that they want to honor. Registration deadline is January. RSVP form found here! More details below.

Press Conference & March

When: Jan 12, 2026 at 11:00am (Press Conference) & March Will Follow Promptly After Presser

Where: Capitol Building, Albany, NY -- Million Dollar Staircase

What: New Yorkers across the state, allies across movements, advocates, legislators, and more march to honor those who have been disappeared from our New York community and the families that are living in fear of being ripped apart as a result of our state and local agencies colluding with ICE's cruel deportation agenda. With the rampant explosion of 287(g) agreements across the state and our local and state agencies helping ICE do their dirty work, we must pass New York for All and end our state’s role in being complicit to a cruel deportation agenda!

*We will have a room for those who have accessibility needs that are not able to participate in the march but do want to attend the presser/vigil portion of the action.
