What is the RushHour Overpass Resistance?

We know people need “social proof” to inform them how best to respond to the country's crisis. Our goal is to remind neighbors of our nation’s emergency and to suggest simple actions they can take and encourage support of a pro-democratic Nation. We literally stand over our banner messages and signs, waving at passing cars, reminding everyday people that they are not alone in these unprecedented times. Please join the "Bridge Party"!

Hands Off NYC Mass Call

American cities are under attack by the Trump administration. Instead of investing in schools, hospitals, and public services, taxpayer dollars are being spent to send National Guard troops and ICE agents into our communities — ripping families apart and targeting working people. New York City has been directly threatened — and we’re coming together to respond. On Wednesday, October 29 at 7 PM, unions, faith leaders, and community groups are hosting a citywide mass call to talk about what we can do right now to resist the occupation, protect our neighborhoods, and get connected to the growing resistance across the city.

Addressing Narratives from the Right

In this online training session from Citizen Action, you’ll learn how to better understand the deeply entrenched conservative narratives that impact everyday working class people and our shared fight for a more just and equitable world. Together, we will learn how to address and reframe these held beliefs when they arise in our daily lives. We will also gain a better understanding of what truly keeps our communities safe in a moment where our neighbors are being separated from their families as our local policing institutions increasingly collaborate with ICE.

A Big Gay Market

A Big Gay Market is a designated intentional and affirmative space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially for those in our community that have intersecting marginalized identities, to join together in queer and trans joy for a cause.

This market aims to benefit Camp Unirondack’s Queer Youth Advocacy Retreat. We ask only for a donation from our vendors to the Retreat that fits their economic comfort with a sliding scale vendor fee.

Our values align with equitable market practices that meet our vendors where they are at while also minimizing costs to the organizers of the event.
