EMERGENCY Rapid Response Protest - Get the Flock Out of Troy!

  • Troy City Hall 433 River Street Troy, NY, 12180 United States (map)

On April Fool's Day, Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello invoked her “emergency powers” pursuant to section C-40 of the Troy City Charter, and declared a public emergency in the City of Troy so as to continue to fund and maintain the Flock surveillance system operating within the City’s borders. On Friday, April 3, the People of Troy will gather together outside of Troy City Hall for a press conference and demonstration against the continued operation of Flock surveillance systems in the City and against the shocking and unlawful abuse of power by Mayor Mantello.

Friday’s press conference and protest outside Troy City Hall is being organized by the grassroots DeFlock Troy movement, with the enthusiastic support and solidarity of Troy Indivisible and Indivisible Albany.
